Club Brugge coach Nicky Hayen was critical of Raphael Onyedika after he showed his disappointment for being replaced in a UEFA Champions League tie he scored.
Onyedika scored Club Brugge second goal in a 4-1 home win over AS Monaco.
He will later be substituted in the 81st minutes.
“Raphael had indicated at halftime that he was experiencing some discomfort. With the substitutions we still had, you look at load management and the comments made. There was a bit of a miscommunication there,” Hayen told Sporza.
“Raphael was also a bit dissatisfied with the through passes, which were intercepted too easily, causing us to squander mini-chances. But even if you’re not happy with your own performance, you still have to tell the player who comes on something.
“I made that clear to him. We’re not a team of 11 players.”
