Nollywood star Odunlade Adekola bid farewell to his father, Pastor Nathaniel Adekola, in a grand ceremony.
The funeral rites began with a Service of Songs at Christ Apostolic Church in Akole, Abeokuta, on August 18.
This was followed by a Christian wake and lying-in-state on Wednesday in Otun Ekiti. On Thursday, August 21, 2025, the interment took place in Otun Ekiti, accompanied by a Thanksgiving service and reception.

Several Nollywood celebrities, including Ibrahim Chatta, Muyiwa Ademola, Eniola Ajao, and Ireti Osayemi, paid their respects to the late pastor, joining the Adekola family and sympathizers in honoring his memory.

In the clip, the duo were seen hugging each other with bright smiles, but Ajao’s demeanor soon changed after she returned to her seat.
