Champions Super Falcons reign cut short as Morocco stage 2026 WAFCON March

The reign of the Super Falcons as champions of the 2024 WAFCON will be short as the next WAFCON is scheduled to be staged again by Morocco in March 2026.

The 2026 WAFCON will also serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil as the semifinalists will advance to the Mundial in South America.

The 2024 WAFCON was delayed because it clashed with the Paris Olympics, which was staged in the summer of 2024.

Ten-time African champions Nigeria will take on Benin in a 2026 WAFCON qualifier in October.
