“Champions”: 15 students of Ondo school “pack” A1’s, their WAEC results emerge

Calvary International College, an Akure-based school, has spotlighted the performance of 15 of its students in the WASSCE.

The secondary school prided itself as not just a school but a haven of future champions.

In a Facebook post, the school released the results of the 15 students and caught netizens’ attention.

The school wrote:

“2024 WAEC RESULTS.

“Our commitment to excellence speaks volume.

“We are not just a school, we are the haven of excellence for future champions.”

Ijimakinwa Oluwatamilore Etemewei, one of the spotlighted students, got six A1’s in subjects such as general mathematics, civic education and biology.

Another one, Iwabi Ann, got an A1 in civic education, animal husbandry and chemistry.

Nigerians commended the school and the students

“We are simply the best school around. Join the winning school. Admission is ongoing.”

TheTalk.NG reported that 11 female students of Imo girls’ school had scored A1 in general mathematics as they shone in the WASSCE.

45 Ogun school students shine in WASSCE

Meanwhile, TheTalk.NG previously reported that 45 students of an Ogun State school had scored A1 in general mathematics in the WASSCE.

On behalf of the management, the private school’s director, Sam Abdulazeez, thanked the students, their parents and team members for their academic feat. In a Facebook post, Sam stated that no student was left behind as the school raised the bar higher than last year’s performance.

Giving a breakdown of the WAEC results, Sam said three students had distinctions in all nine subjects, 14 students had distinctions in eight subjects, 27 had distinctions in seven subjects, and one had distinctions in five subjects.
