CENSUS ENDS,MOP-UP STARTS

Finance and National Planning Minister SITUMBEKO MUSOKOTWANE says preliminary data shows that the 2022 Census of Population and Housing has generally progressed well countrywide.

Dr. MUSOKOTWANE says this has been reflected in all provinces performing above their daily count targets with respect to household and population enumeration.

And Dr. MUSOKOTWANE has announced a MOP-UP exercise to start tomorrow following the conclusion of the Census of Population and Housing Exercise.

The Finance Minister says the objective of the MOP-UP is to allow for call-backs to areas and households that were NOT fully enumerated.

Announcing the development in Lusaka today, the Finance Minister has implored citizens in areas and households where enumeration may NOT have been completed to make themselves available and cooperate with the enumerators.

The Zambia Statistics Agency -ZAMSTATS- is today concluding the Census of Population and Housing.
