CAF CONFEDERATION CUP: Enyimba Q/Final hopes hanging after home draw with Al Masry

Enyimba will now have to post a good win at group leaders Zamalek next weekend to have any chance of reaching the quarterfinal of the CAF Confederation Cup after they could only force a 1-1 draw at home with Al Masry today.

Zamalek have already won the group with 11 points after they won 3-1 at Black Bulls of Mozambique.

Al Masry are now second with six points, while Enyimba are third on five points from as many matches.

Visitors Al Masry drew first blood as early as the 11th minute through Mohamed Hashem.

Enyimba restored parity in the 48th courtesy of a header off a corner by striker Ifeanyi Ihemekwele.

Al Masry had the chance to win the tie, but Enyimba goalkeeper Henry Ani saved a 68th minute penalty after his captain fouled inside the box.
