Burna Boy, Davido add glitz and glamour to NPFL All-Stars game

World music top acts Burna Boy and Davido will perform at the NPFL All-Stars game at the end of the season, organisers said.

Each player selected for the All-Stars game will earn a Million Naira, while the coaches get double that sum.

The agreement for this event was signed between NPFL and Nilayo Sports Management Limited.

Nilayo Sports Chairman Bukola Olopade said the event will further improve the visibility of the NPFL.

“We are excited to be part of this project. The league has seen impressive progress, including unexpected victories by underdog teams. This All-Star event will further enhance the league’s visibility,” he said.

The event will feature 22 players and two coaches from each zone. Celebrity coaches like Ayo Makun, Ali Baba, and Basketmouth will represent the South, with northern celebrity coaches to be revealed soon.

The performance of Burna Boy and Davido  will attract millennials, Gen Z, and Generation Alpha.

“We want to create excitement around the league and draw in more private sector involvement,” Olopade concluded.
