Biffo favoured ahead Ugbade as new Flying Eagles coach

SCORENigeria has specially gathered that Sporting Lagos coach Abdullahi Biffo is favoured to be the next Super Eagles coach ahead of Nduka Ugbade.

A top source said Biffo’s vast experience in the NPFL, which has spanned stints with Kwara United and Katsina United, as well as his “very powerful backers” will now work in his favour as the next coach of the country’s U20 team.

Biffo was first assistant coach of the Golden Eaglets at the WAFU B U17 AFCON qualifiers in Ghana.

It was further gathered that Federation Cup-winning coach of El Kanemi Warriors Aliyu Zubairu is also one of the coaches who applied for the position last occupied by Ladan Bosso.

The Flying Eagles are due in training camp next month ahead of the sub-regional U20 AFCON qualifiers.

The qualifying tournament will be played between October 17 and 31 in Togo.
