Tolu Arokodare is joint leading scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League with six goals and he said he must be doing something right to be up the goals chart.
The 23-year-old striker fired his sixth goal of the season against Dender for Genk to win their sixth straight match and consolidate their leadership of the league table.
“It shows that I do certain things well. Hopefully I can score even more,” said Arokodare, who scored 12 league goals last season.
His sixth goal was not a television goal, but the striker said he will still take it.
“It wasn’t my best goal, but that doesn’t matter. A goal is a goal,” he said.
“I headed the ball, after which it ended up in a mess. That’s how the ball came back to me and I was able to score.
“It was an individual goal, but the most important thing is that I helped the team. By scoring goals, or by doing other things that benefit the team.”
