Super Eagles expect another difficult game against home team South Africa in tomorrow’s crunch 2026 World Cup qualifier, according to skipper William Ekong.
“It will be a difficult game versus Bafana Bafana, who are a very good team,” Ekong said.
“They gave us the most difficult game at the last AFCON.
“We respect Bafana Bafana, but we also have confidence in what we do.”
The Super Eagles needed to win a penalty shootout last year for them to reach the final of the delayed 2023 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.
Ekong vowed that the Super Eagles are united to pull in the same direction.
“There’s real unity, togetherness, understanding, the players want to fight in the same direction regardless of what club you play and who you are,” he said.
