Attacker leaves Pirates for Zambian giants

Orlando Pirates have parted ways with the 25-year-old forward Austin Muwowo. The Zambian has returned home to join local giants Zesco United.

Following a tough three seasons in Mzansi, Muwowo has failed to make it in the PSL. He first spent a season on the bench before he was shipped to Swallows FC on loan last season.

After failing to convince at the Dube Birds, Muwowo has now boarded a plane out of South Africa.

Meanwhile, the Soweto giants are starting the 2022/23 season at home to Swallows.

The side is expected to reclaim glory with at least one title after missing out on the qualifications of both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederations.

The club’s new signings include Tapelo Xoki, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Miguel Timm, Evidence Makgopa, and Eva Nga.
