A throwback video of Nigerian Afrobeats icon Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has surfaced online, stirring nostalgia among fans.

The clip, taken from an old media interview, featured the musician reminiscing about his first luxury car.

In the interview, Wizkid proudly discussed his new ride, a Volkswagen convertible with a 6-loader.

He revealed that the car was not only his first vehicle but also his only one at the time, and he enjoyed cruising around town in it.

The Essence hitmaker affectionately referred to the car as “baby,” to show his deep fondness.

Earlier, TheTalk.NG reported that a video of Wizkid taking a stroll around his London mansion got many of his fans talking.

The green scenery stirred reactions online, with many hailing the singer’s appreciation for gardening.

In another clip, Wizkid’s son Bolu was spotted showing off his football and basketball skills in another part of the mansion.

Wizkid tops global digital artists ranking

TheTalk.NG earlier reported that Wizkid topped the list of Afrobeats musicians on the Global Digital Artist Ranking.

He had 569 points to defeat his closest colleague, Burna Boy, who had 390 while Asake reached 339 and Davido 305 points.

The duo of Ayra Starr and Rema respectivelly polled 217 and 209 points. Fans of the Nigerian musician shared their thoughts on the ranking. While some agreed to the ranking, some were of the opinion that their favourites deserved better ranking.
