South Africa celebrated when it was known that injury has ruled out Victor Osimhen from today’s World Cup showdown, but they may still be in for bigger trouble in the shape of Tolu Arokodare.
The new Wolves signing fired a super goal in Super Eagles final training in Bloemfontein.
He was the match winner Saturday when he came off the bench to score in the 51st minute against Rwanda.
It was also his second goal for the Super Eagles after he fired his first in a friendly against Russia in June in Moscow.
Tolu will now most likely be the man to lead the Super Eagles strike force against Bafana Bafana in the absence of the injured Osimhen.
“He is still not the finished article, but he is deadly in the air and his confidence is now sky high after his second goal for the Super Eagles,” said a source close to the team.
“He will be big trouble for South Africa.”
