Arokodare hits career high goals tally

Tolu Arokodare has now recorded his highest tally in Europe since 2019.

He consolidated his position as the leading scorer in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League by netting his 16th goal of the season Friday night.

The big striker, who is on the radar of Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle, put table toppers Genk in front after 71 minutes before the home team Charleroi snatched a late equaliser.

His 16-goal tally is a career high since he moved to Latvia in 2019.

It has been a most prolific campaign for Arokodare, 24, as he has now 18 goals and seven assists in all competitions.

Genk are now 10 points clear of closest rivals and defending champions Club Brugge.
