Argentina have moved quickly to replace the Super Eagles with Costa Rica after organisers of a proposed friendly could not secure visas into the USA for the Nigerian delegation.
World champions Argentina were billed to take on the Super Eagles on March 26 in Los Angeles, USA, after it was moved from the earlier venue of China.
It is now understood that the organisers said they could not secure entry visas to the United States for the Nigerian delegation in time for the friendly, while citing the strict visa issuance policies of the USA Government.
Nigeria will now have to get another opponent for next month’s FIFA friendly window as a result of this cancellation.
