Karim Adeyemi, whose father is Nigerian, has revealed he turned down an offer believed to be more than 50 million euros from Napoli in January.
Sky Sport reported that Napoli offered 50 million euros for the Borussia Dortmund star.
Adeyemi has now said he rejected it.
He said in an interview with WAZ: “I arrived at Dortmund three years ago, even though I could have had other more financially advantageous offers at the time.
“But I had a good feeling at Dortmund from the start because they gave me a chance and supported me.
“The same was true in the winter. Whether I would have earned more elsewhere was never a deciding factor for me, even though it was a big and prestigious in Italy. It’s true.
“It’s not in my nature to leave if things don’t go well for six months. That’s why I consciously decided to stay and I don’t regret it, on the contrary!”
