Ademola Lookman nominated for Serie A Forward of the Year

The profile of Ademola Lookman has continued to soar after he was nominated for the Serie A Forward of the Year in the prestigious Gran Gala del Calcio Awards.

The Gran Galà del Calcio is an annual event that celebrates excellence in Italian football, recognizing the best players, coaches, clubs, and referees over the past calendar year.

The awards are determined through votes from members of the Italian Players’ Association (AIC), with winners set to be announced during a ceremony on December 2.

The other nominees for the Forward of the Year are Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez from Inter and Rafael Leao from Milan.

The Super Eagles forward’s club Atalanta have also been nominated for the Club of the Year and his coach Gian Piero Gasperini for Coach of the Year.

Ademola Lookman is the overwhelming favourite to be crowned CAF Player of the Year for 2024 next month.

He ranked 14th in this year’s Ballon d’Or.
