Abia Warriors striker Sunday Megwo has shot himself to top reckoning in the race for the Goal King prize of the NPFL.
CHAN Eagles striker Megwo is now one of four players to have so far netted eight goals each in the NPFL.
The other players on eight goals apiece are Shola Adelani (Ikorodu City), Ossy Martins (Lobi Stars) and Ibrahim Mustapha (El Kanemi).
Megwo, 20, scored his eighth goal of the season in a 1-1 home draw with Nasarawa United this past weekend.
Last season, the tall striker netted seven goals.
Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United is the leading scorer in the goals’ chart with 14 goals, while ageless Rabiu Ali of Kano Pillars is three goals behind with 11 goals.
