Rwanda play test game for Super Eagles

Rwanda will play a test game against a local team Saturday as part of their build-up to a decisive 2026 World Cup qualifier against the Super Eagles later this month.

New coach Adel Amarouche said the home-based Amavubi will use this test game to stake a claim for places in the final squad for the World Cup tie against Nigeria on March 21 in Kigali.

Amarouche, who has handled several African teams like Kenya, Burundi and Tanzania, said he is open to feature young players in his team as long as they prove themselves.

Rwanda lead Group C of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers with seven points from four matches, while the Super Eagles are fifth on three points.
