Promise David listed on Canada provisional squad for CONCACAF Nations League

Promise David, who has changed his international allegiance from Nigeria to Canada, has been named on 60-man preliminary squad for the 2025 CONCACAF Nations League.

The Union St.Gilloise striker, born of Nigerian parents, featured for Nigeria U23, but has now opted to play for Canada at full international level.

Other players with Nigerian roots on this enlarged squad are Sam Adekugbe (Vancouver Whitecaps), Shola Jimoh (York United) and Tani Oluwaseyi (Minnesota United)

Canada coach Jesse Marsh is expected to submit a final 23-man squad for the tournament not later than March 10.
