Top stakeholders in Nigeria football have tasked coach Eric Chelle to qualify Nigeria to the 2026 World Cup.
This message was passed on to the Super Eagles coach during a private dinner hosted for him by Comptroller General of the Nigerian Customs,Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.
The stakeholders included former sports ministers Sunday Dare, NSC chairman Shehu Dikko, NSC Director General Bukola Olopade, NFF secretary general Sanusi Mohammed, ex-international Segun Odegbami, NFF head of international competitions and Super Eagles administrator, Dayo Enebi.
Other officials at the dinner were Seyi Johnson, Kola Daniel and Ahmed Kawu from the NSC.
Eric Chelle said he is motivated to excel as Super Eagles coach.
Nigeria are fifth in Group C of the World Cup qualifying series with three points from four matches.
Next month, the Super Eagles face Rwanda and Zimbabwe in must-win qualifiers.
