NPFL hotshot Anas Yusuf shoots down leaders Remo Stars as Enugu Rangers win big

The leading scorer in the NPFL Anas Yusuf today scored the goal for Nasarawa United to stop leaders Remo Stars, while Enugu Rangers climbed to third place after a 3-0 home win over Sunshine Stars.

CHAN Eagles striker Anas Yusuf hit target after 25 minutes and that proved to be the winning goal against Remo Stars in Lafia.

He has now netted 14 goals this season.

Remo Stars remain top of the standings, but the gap at the top has been narrowed after Shooting Stars were held to a 1-1 draw at Enyimba and Enugu Rangers thumped Sunshine Stars 3-0.

Shooting Stars are second on 42 points, nine points adrift of Remo Stars, while Rangers now have 41 points to move to third position.

Lobi Stars remain rooted at the bottom of the table after they fell 2-0 at home against Niger Tornadoes, while Plateau United and Kano Pillars won at home and Kwara United and Heartland were held at home.
