Flying Eagles top seeds for U20 AFCON draw

The Flying Eagles will head one of the three first round groups for the 2025 U20 AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire after they were ranked among the top seeds.

The other top seeds are hosts Cote d’Ivoire and defending champions Senegal, which means the Flying Eagles will avoid these teams in the group stage.

Pot 2 will have Congo, Egypt and Zambia, while Pot 3 has Ghana, DR Congo, Morocco, Sierra Leone, Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania.

The top two teams from the group stage along with two best third-placed finishers will advance to the quarterfinal.

The 2025 U20 AFCON will be played from April 28 to May 18 with the semifinalists advancing to the U20 World Cup in Chile.
