NPFL Player of Week: Uche Sebastine shocks Enyimba for troubled Akwa United

NPFL Player of Week 23 is experienced striker Uche Sebastine of Akwa United.

The 24-year-old Sebastine was the match winner for home team Akwa United against nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba.

It was his second goal of the season after he also scored in a 2-1 home loss to league leaders Remo Stars.

Uche Sebastine has previously played in Norway, Sweden and Albania.

It was the first win in five games for ‘The Promise Keepers’ and also the first for returning coach Kennedy Boboye.

The victory has lifted Akwa United to 18th position with 23 points from 23 matches.

They are now just two points from safety.
