Getafe midfielder Chrisantus Uche could well get his big chance with the Super Eagles sooner rather than later.
This was after he was listed on the 31-man provisional squad submitted by coach Eric Chelle for next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
“Uche is on the enlarged squad for the World Cup qualifiers,” a top source informed SCORENigeria
“The coach even plans to visit him in Madrid.”
The 21-year-old Uche scored on his La Liga debut and he has now scored twice in 23 appearances this season.
A few years ago, he was playing in the amateur league in Spain.
He is powerful built, combative, full of running and has even been played up front in attack.
