The NPFL Player of Week 22 is captain Anas Yusuf of Nasarawa United.
The forward scored twice for ‘The Solid Miners’ to record a home win over Niger Tornadoes and lift them to 18th position in the standings and they are now two points from safety.
Last month, he scored his first goal of the New Year at Enyimba.
He has now scored 13 goals to thus extend his lead at the top of the goals’ race.
His goals will be important for Nasarawa United to stay up in the NPFL by the end of the season.
Also, the CHAN Eagles struggled to score goals in the playoffs against arch-rivals Ghana and Anas Yusuf may well have been re-energised to be the man to get the goals when the CHAN kicks off in August.
