NPFL leaders Remo Stars today staged a stirring comeback to beat Abia Warriors 3-2 at home.
Remo Stars had to fight back from two goals down to win this pulsating encounter and complete the double over the visitors this season.
Franck Mawuena jumped the highest inside the box to head home the dramatic winner after 54 minutes.
They thus consolidated their leadership position with 42 points from 21 matches.
They are now eight points clear at the top of the table.
Defending champions Enugu Rangers suffered a second straight defeat when they fell 2-1 at El Kanemi Warriors.
The loss dropped Rangers to sixth place with 31 points, while El Kanemi climbed to fourth on 32 points from 20 matches.
Ikorodu United also moved up the standings to fifth on the back of a 4-1 thrashing of Kano Pillars at home.
They have 31 points from 21 matches.
Bayelsa United hammered Sunshine Stars 4-1 to be 11th on the table, while Akwa United denied fellow relegation battlers Lobi Stars a crucial away win with a 1-1 draw in Uyo.
