Remo Stars shoot 5 points clear at top of NPFL

Remo Stars are now five points clear at the top of the NPFL table after they ended an eight-year losing run at Akwa United courtesy of a 2-1 win.

Former Flying Eagles striker Adedayo Olamilekan was the match winner in the 84th minute for Remo Stars, who fought back to win in Uyo.

Rivers United remain in second place on 34 points even after they lost 2-1 at Plateau United, while third-placed Shooting Stars are a point behind with a game in hand.
