CAF hammer Libya again over 2025 AFCON indident

Libya have again suffered the wrath of CAF after they were ordered to play their next two home games behind closed doors following crowd trouble during a 2025 AFCON qualifier against Benin.

The North Africans will also pay a fine of $50,000 on account of this incident.

In November, Libya were held to a scoreless draw by Benin to end hopes of qualifying for the 2025 AFCON in Morocco.

It would be recalled that in October, CAF came down hard on the Libyans after they held the Super Eagles hostage for many long hours before a 2025 AFCON qualifier in Benina.

Libya forfeited the game and they were also heavily fined.
