Osho gets first Ligue 1 goal

5.Gabriel Osho

Super Eagles defender grabbed his first Ligue 1 goal for Auxerre to salvage a draw against visiting RC Lens. He headed home for the game to end in a 2-2 draw. Auxerre are back in the French top flight after many years in the lower league and so far they have been able to hold their own. They are eighth in the standings with 21 points after 15 rounds of matches.

4.Victor Moses

The retired Super Eagles star rolled back time with a superlative individual display to be named Man of the Match for Luton Town to beat one of his former clubs Stoke City 2-1 in the English Championship. He gave himself a fitting 34th birthday gift the following day.

3.Kazeem Olaigbe

The young forward of Nigerian descent won the UEFA Conference League Goal of the Week courtesy of one of his two goals for Cercle Brugge in a 4-1 trouncing of Olimpija Ljubljana. He rolled the ball to the side of his marker on top of the box before he fired an unstoppable cracker right into the roof of the net. It was a sensational finish. He also provided an assist on the day.

2.Fisayo Dele Bashiru

The Super Eagles midfielder got his second goal in the UEFA Europa League for Lazio to beat Ajax 3-1. He has also provided two assists in the competition in four appearances. Only last month he came off the bench to score his first Serie A goal against Bologna. He is gradually finding his way at the Serie A club on loan from Turkey. Lazio are top of the Europa league table with 16 points from six matches and a +11 goals difference.

Dele Bashiru settling in at Lazio

1.Ademola Lookman

He was named Man of the Match ahead of the Galaticos from Real Madrid despite Atalanta falling to a 3-2 home loss to the reigning European champions. His great strike that beat Thibaut Courtois at the near post made it more of a contest between Atalanta and Real Madrid than when both teams clashed in August in the Super Cup and La Liga giants ran away 2-0 winners. The crowning glory for ‘Mola’ will be tonight in Marrakech, Morocco.
