Bayer Leverkusen coach Xabi Alonso has given the latest update on Victor Boniface, who is nursing a thigh injury.
The striker suffered the thigh injury on Super Eagles duty against Rwanda in Uyo last month.
Alonso said Victor Boniface recovery is on track even though it is still early to say when he will return to action.
“We have hope. Every two or three days, tests are carried out to see how he is doing. He is on the right track, but it is too early to say when he will be back,” Alonso told Liga Insider.
There have been fears that ‘Boni’ will not play again this year on account of this latest injury setback.
