Bayer Leverkusen to make Victor Boniface top earner

Bayer Leverkusen have proposed a new contract that will make Victor Boniface one of their top earners.

The 23-year-old Super Eagles striker currently earns Three Million Euros a year.

He has a contract with the German Bundesliga champions until 2028, but the club wish to extend it until 2029.

According to Transfer Expert Patrick Berger, the new contract talks have already reached advanced stage.

Besides a bigger salary, the new deal will also include performance bonuses.

He also reported that Victor Boniface is favourably disposed to this extension as he is happy and sees his medium-term future at Leverkusen.

“Bayer Leverkusen is in talks with Victor Boniface about an early extension from 2028 to 2029 – at the same time, this would be linked to a salary increase and adjustment according to his performance,” Berger posted on X.

“No pressure on either side. Talks are ongoing. Clubs from England – including Manchester United – are interested. But: the currently injured attacker is happy with the Werkself and sees his medium-term future in the Rhineland.”

Victor Boniface has scored eight goals and made an assist in 15 appearances this season.

He is presently injured with a thigh problem.
