SCORENigeria Top 5: Again Ademola Lookman a class act, Dele Bashiru Super Sub for Lazio

The next CAF Player of the Year Ademola Lookman extended his fine form in front of goal by netting his ninth goal in all competitions for Atalanta this season, while fellow Super Eagles star Fisayo Dele-Bashiru came off the bench to score his first Serie A goal in a comfortable home win by Lazio.

5.David Okereke

The 27-year-old forward announced his return from injury with a goal for Gaziantep to crush Istanbul Basaksehir 3-0 in a Turkish Super Lig clash. It was his second goal of the campaign. Incidentally, he got injured while scoring his first goal of the season. His club have now climbed to 10th on the table with 15 points from a dozen games.

4.Raphael Onyedika

The Super Eagles defensive midfielder got in on the goal-scoring act with his first goal of the season as Club Brugge pounded St Truiden 7-0. Last season, he showed he could also get among the goals in the championship playoffs. His club remain in second place in the standings, six points behind table toppers Genk.

3.Tolu Arokodare

The big striker notched his ninth league goal of the season to celebrate his 24th birthday in style. Genk turned back Sporting Charleroi 3-0. It was a superb response from the league leaders after the thrashing they suffered at Union St.Gilloise just before the last international break.

2.Fisayo Dele-Bashiru

The Super Eagles midfielder came off the bench to score his first Serie A goal as Lazio defeated Bologna 3-0. It is an encouraging display as he continues to make the most of his loan spell in Italy. With no national duty until March 2025, he now has enough time to push for a permanent transfer to Lazio.

1.Ademola Lookman

The in-coming CAF Player of the Year 2024 again showed class by grabbing his seventh goal in Serie A for Atalanta to take temporary leadership of the championship before Napoli reclaimed it the following day. A most deserved recognition for a thorough-bred professional.
