The Super Eagles have made as many as seven changes to their starting XI against Benin for today’s final 2025 AFCON qualifier against Rwanda.
The withdrawal of Ademola Lookman, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali and Ola Aina has already forced caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen to make changes for today’s game.
He has also now dropped to the bench Victor Osimhen, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi and Calvin Bassey, while starters against Benin who will also start today are captain William Ekong, Gabriel Osho, Bruno Onyemaechi and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Eguavoen has as expected settled for a back four in a 4-3-3 formation.
