Former FIFA and CAF executive member Amos Adamu has said Libya will lose their 2025 AFCON qualifier to Super Eagles and also be fined heavily after the maltreatment they meted on the visiting team.
“Libya should take full responsibility for what they did,” Amos Adamu said in a radio interview.
“I expect them to be fined heavily and to also lose the match.”
The retired football chief said he fully supported the decision by Nigeria not to play the match because the lives of the team were in real danger.
He said he believes CAF will make known their decisions on the matter in the next couple of days.
