CAF probe Super Eagles ‘welcome to hell’ in Libya

CAF have announced they will investigate the situation that forced the Super Eagles to boycott tomorrow’s 2025 AFCON qualifier in Libya.

In an official statement, CAF said the matter has now been referred to their disciplinary board and that appropriate action will be taken against those who violated the CAF statutes and regulations.

CAF said the Super Eagles were “stranded in disturbing conditions for several hours at an airport they were allegedly instructed to land by Libyan authorities”.

They said they view this incident as “unacceptable” and in “very serious light”.
