Two former Mavlon FC stars who now ply their trade overseas have made the final 20-man squad to the WAFU B U20 AFCON qualifying tournament in Togo.
The players are striker Charles Agada, who has signed a pre-contract with English Championship outfit Queens Park Rangers, and tall central midfielder Israel Ayuma, who is on the books of NK Istra in Croatia.
The rest of the squad are dominated by players from the from the NPFL and a handful of academies.
Coach Aliyu Zubairu selected three players from his NPFL club El Kanemi Warriors – defender Adamu Maigari and midfielders Nasiru Salihu and Suleyman Alabi.
Last-minute change is Niger Tornadoes midfielder Muhamad Ibrahim Sabiu, who has replaced Daniel Daga after he failed to produce his international passport.
There are two goalkeepers, five defenders, seven midfielders and six forwards.
The Flying Eagles delegation will leave for Togo tomorrow.
The Flying Eagles are the defending champions at this level and open their campaign on Friday, October 18, against Burkina Faso in Lome, Togo.
