Osimhen storms Super Eagles camp

Victor Osimhen has finally joined the Super Eagles training camp in Uyo ahead of Saturday’s 2025 AFCON qualifier against Benin.

He is the last player in after he had to sort out his loan transfer to Galatasaray from Napoli.

He flew into Lagos earlier today and then connected a local flight to Uyo.

This will be his first time with the team in 2024 after he missed their matches in March and June due to injury.

Close watchers of the team have questioned the decision to recall him to the national team after his viral video on social media that disrespected then Super Eagles coach Finidi George as well as the leadership of Nigeria football.

It has also been argued that he may not be in the right frame of mind after his long-drawn transfer saga as well as the fact that he was not involved in the pre-season preparations of Napoli.
