Ahead of the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi has assured the team will prove themselves again versus Benin and Rwanda.
The Nottingham Forest striker expressed confidence that the Super Eagles can put their recent poor form aside and come out victorious against Benin and Rwanda
“Yeah, I think for us, football is our job, this is our profession and this is what we do,” Awoniyi told AdemolaVictorTV.
“I think I just want to assure all Nigerians that they should be supportive, they should try to support us.
“I know it might not look like what they have wanted but one thing is sure, Super Eagles will always be Super Eagles but it is not just saying we are the Super Eagles, it is us proving a point that we are the Super Eagles.”
