No PSG bid for Osimhen yet as Chelsea opt for Premier League striker

With three days to Transfer Deadline Day, PSG have yet to table a formal offer to Napoli for Victor Osimhen, while Chelsea may also have opted for Brentford striker Ivan Toney to lead their strike force.

PSG have already agreed personal terms with Osimhen (14 Million Euros-a-year/5 years contract), but Top Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano today maintained that despite hope the French club will make a late bid, they are yet to do so.

“Paris Saint-Germain are not working on the Osimhen deal,” he made it clear.

“No offer has been presented.”

Sky Sports Transfer Expert Kaveh Solhekol also reported that Chelsea may now have settled for Brentford striker Toney ahead of Osimhen.

“Chelsea have made a move to sign Ivan Toney from Brentford,” he reported.

“’The Blues’ want a proven striker to become their new No 9, who fits the salary cap and is reasonable in terms of the transfer fee.

“Toney has an incredible offer from Saudi Arabia, but Chelsea offer Premier League football.”

Interestingly, Saudi Arabian club, who are also reported to be keen to sign Osimhen, are also waiting on Toney to accept their offer.
