The NFF have appointed 58-year-old German Bruno Labbadia as the new coach of the Super Eagles.
He will lead the team against Benin and Rwanda in 2025 AFCON qualifiers next month.
Nigeria welcome Benin to Uyo on September 7, before a trip to Rwanda three days later.
NFF general secretary Mohammed Sanusi confirmed the appointment.
“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its technical and development sub-committee to appoint Mr Bruno Labbadia as the head coach of the Super Eagles,” he announced in a statement.
“The appointment is with immediate effect.”
Labbadia has handled several top Bundesliga clubs like VfB Stuttgart, Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg.
