- NYSC Completion Certificate, Exemption Certificate, or Exclusion Certificate is required from all applicants.

Postgraduate Diploma Programme
- Graduates of the University of Uyo or any other university recognised by the Senate of the University of Uyo.
- Persons with qualifications judged by the Senate to be equivalent to a first degree may also be considered.
- Holders of a recognised Higher National Diploma (HND) are eligible to apply.
Master’s Degree Programme
- Graduates of the University of Uyo or any other university recognised by the Senate of the University of Uyo.
- Must possess at least a Second-Class Honours degree, irrespective of CGPA.
M.Sc Medical Microbiology
Graduates from the following areas:
- Microbiology
- Virology plus a Postgraduate Diploma in Microbiology
- MBBCh, MBBS or its equivalent
Master’s in Public Health
- Applicants must possess an MBBS degree.
- Must have a full registration number with the Medical and Dental Council (MDCN).
PhD Programme
- Graduates of the University of Uyo or any other university recognised by the Senate of the University of Uyo.
- Must possess a Master’s degree with dissertation.
- Must have an overall CGPA of at least 60% (grade B or equivalent).
Integrated MPhil/PhD Programme
- Must possess a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline from the University of Uyo or any other recognised university.
