Top Transfer Expert: Why Arsenal won’t sign Osimhen

Top Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano has advanced reasons why the “marriage” between Victor Osimhen and Premier League side Arsenal will not work.

Despite making signing a striker their priority this summer, Romano stated that the huge sum of money around Osimhen is what will be the stumbling block to that transfer.

“I’ve had some fans asking me about reports in Italy suggesting that Arsenal have cooled their interest in Victor Osimhen because he could be too expensive, or that they are concerned about entering into difficult and lengthy negotiations with Napoli,” he said in his daily briefing.

Top Transfer Expert: Why Arsenal won’t sign Osimhen

“Osimhen has always been appreciated, but many clubs are cautious now waiting to understand the salary/commission package, as there’s already a very expensive release clause to take into consideration.

“This is why Arsenal are looking at other strikers, including Viktor Gyokeres, who remains on their shortlist.”

According to the Italian football expert, Arsenal prefer signing Gyokeres to Osimhen due to the staggering release clause in the Nigerian’s current Napoli contract(about 130 Million Euros)
