- The new update about Sanku buying a car on loan has ignited reactions about celebrities and their lifestyles
Late comedian and content creator Adetola Samad, aka Sanku, is again making waves following an alleged debt he left behind.
This comes as content creator Folorunsho Olayinka, better known as Finest, alleged that Sanku passed away in a loaned 2012 model Lexus RX 350 SUV, which was meant to be returned to the dealer in Ilorin, Kwara State, for a cheaper car.
Finest, who disclosed that he stood as the guarantor for Sanku, alleged that the deceased informed him of his decision to acquire a car for N25,400,000.
PUNCH reported that in a receipt issued by JJ Motors Empire and Services Limited, dated June 5, 2025, and shared by the content creator during a TikTok livestream on Monday, after his death sparked a row over the unpaid loan car, Sanku had only paid N7,000,000 at the time of purchase.
“I was only a guarantor, it was because the car dealer knew me. I only helped him. I wasn’t the one who told him to come to Ilorin; he was the one who requested a driver, which I provided for him. After paying N7,000,000 to acquire the vehicle, he began paying in installments until he had paid N12,280,000.
“So what would be my gain in ordering that the person who owed about N13 million, for whom I stood as guarantor, be killed? What would be my gain? I don’t even know the driver,” he said.
Finest’s claim was, however, contradicted by one of the late Sanku’s friends, who claimed the deceased was pressured to return the car for a Nigerian-used Toyota Venza because he could not pay for the Lexus, leaving a balance of N2.3 million.
In related news, TheTalk.NG reported that Sanku’s family asked his friends and associates to return all his belongings in their possession.
