Ademola Lookman could play his first game of the season today, but angry Atalanta fans have not forgotten or even forgiven the transfer saga involving the Super Eagles forward.
They again showed their disappointment with a banner that simply read: “11 (Ademola Lookman jersey number) Reinstated…but for us you remain ungrateful.”
The Old Guard group of Atalanta took responsibility of the banner displayed outside the training ground of the Italian Serie A club.
Ademola Lookman put in a transfer request and even AWOL to force a transfer to fellow Serie A club Inter Milan in the summer transfer window.
He could now play a part in today’s clash at Torino.
In his absence, Atalanta have kept faith with youngster Francesco Pio Esposito.
