Reacting in a post on his Instagram page, Solade, who had earlier criticised some of his female colleagues for flaunting luxuries, said he was also present at the ceremony.

According to him, in Nigeria, once a person is not materially blessed, they are regarded as a nobody. He questioned why many of his colleagues failed to attend the burial, describing their absence as sad and appalling.

Lamenting further, Solade noted that not even the artiste night and service of songs were well attended.

The veteran actor also shared his personal lesson, stating that the behaviour of his absent colleagues was a reflecting of what is happening within the movie industry.

Fans of the actor agreed with his stance, with some adding that Nollywood is plagued by envy, eye service, and lack of genuine support.

One person even joked that many colleagues would have shown up if it were Hilda Baci’s cookathon, where they would have been acknowledged and celebrated.
