It was a baptism of fire for Tolu Arokodare as he started on his Premier League debut for Wolves at Newcastle, while Chrisantus Uche also saw some minutes of action to make his first bow for Crystal Palace.
Fellow Super Eagles star Samuel Chukwueze was an unused substitute for Fulham and so we have to wait for his own debut in the English top league.
Arokodare, who started in the absence of Jorgen Strand Larsen, had no shot on or off target in the 66 minutes as the Newcastle central defenders shut him out, Wolves did not create much upfront and fell 1-0 at Saint James Park.
It was Wolves worst start in 127 years as they have now lost their first four games in the Premier League.
Arokodare was one of the least rated Wolves players with a 6.4 rating by Sofascore.
Far from ‘Tea Time’ for the big man.
Chrisantus Uche came off the bench in the 84th minute as Crystal Palace were held at home by promoted Sunderland.
He won a Sofascore rating of 6.6, which was below the Palace average.
