Turkish club Besiktas announced that Wilfred Ndidi suffered a thigh injury during a 2026 World Cup qualifier in South Africa Tuesday.
Ndidi was replaced by Chrisantus Uche in the 70th minute in the match versus Bafana Bafana.
Besiktas said they have begun treating the injured midfielder.
Media reports out of Turkey suggest Ndidi will now miss several matches involving Besiktas as a result.
