Nigerian singer Terry Apala has opened up on why he will never allow his partner to use a public gym.
The Afrobeats act explained in an interview with Teddy A on Echo Room that gyms have become more about vibes than fitness.
According to the music star, who was recently remanded in prison, a majority of the women he has observed are less focused on exercising and more interested in creating content or attracting attention.

He revealed that his conclusion is not based on hearsay but on direct experience.
He stated:
“I will not allow my partner to go to the gym. I was a member of iFitness VGC, so I’ve been there. I saw what was going down. I feel like ladies of nowadays are just going to the gym to vibe and make videos. They’re not there to actually work out.”
The Apala Disco crooner went on to mention another fitness center where he registered in Megamound Estate, claiming that what he witnessed further shaped his perception.
He added:
“Girls go there to do all manner of things. A lot of ladies are just at the gym to have fun. Maybe a few are going there to work out, but many are simply there to enjoy the vibe.”

Terry Apala thanks Wizkid

In a recent interview with Pulse, Apala stated that Wizkid transformed his career by including a verse on the remix of his song ‘Apala Disco.’
