He described the decision to file a $260 million lawsuit as “the hardest but most necessary choice” of his life.
Dixon recounted meeting Perry for the first time at a 2019 studio party, a moment he thought would launch his Hollywood dream.
Instead, he said it led to years of private messages, uncomfortable advances, and physical encounters that left him questioning his career and mental health.
Dixon admitted:
“There’s a lot of shame around it. You ask yourself what you could have done differently. But I realized I couldn’t stay silent anymore.”
Dixon reveals more accusations
In his civil complaint, Dixon outlined text messages he claims Perry sent, including one asking, “What’s it going to take for you to have guiltless sex?”
He further alleged several encounters turned physical.
It includes moments when Perry climbed into his bed uninvited, groped him inside a trailer, and pressured him during private visits to the mogul’s homes.
One alleged incident, Dixon said, ended with him locking himself in a bathroom to escape. “I didn’t know what to do,” he told ABC News.
Perry’s response
Perry, whose empire includes more than 20 films, 17 TV shows, and one of the largest studios in the U.S., has strongly denied the allegations.
His attorney, Matthew Boyd, dismissed the lawsuit, saying,
“This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam.”
Dixon starred in over 80 episodes of The Oval before leaving in 2024. He says the lawsuit is not just about damages but about accountability.
He said:
“My lost income, my lost show, my peace of mind—it all adds up. But more than that, I hope this prevents someone else from going through what I did.”
